Amanda Stoker has been appointed as the new child safety and domestic violence minister in Queensland, replacing Amanda Camm. Camm resigned from the frontbench because of health concerns. Stoker, a right-wing backbencher, was officially sworn in amid reports of a cut-throat performance measure for the new minister. The appointment comes as Queensland faces challenges in dealing with child safety and domestic violence issues.
